Looks like a small group for the Academy run this week.Not pictured are the three musketeers (Joni, Nancy, and Julie) who insisted on starting early and Francine,Denise and one other person whose name excapes me at the moment who for some reason didn't get into the group picture.
So I guess we had a total of 14 including me.
Excuses for not showing up this week included cleaning house for a party, attending a dinner with a bunch of financial types, and being stuck in traffic in Rio Rancho after leaving work late.
I'll leave it up to the reader to match the excuse to the runner.
I suspect that another regular Academy attendee, Deana the SFHM, ran a 3:55 marathon on Sunday in Las Vegas and was rightfully resting. Hopefully we'll see her soon so she can tell us all about her exploits in Vegas.
After the run, which was done in absolutely perfect conditions of light wind (if any) around 40 degrees and clear skies with a nearly full moon, we proceeded to retire to Starbucks for some hot drinks and pleasant conversation. Next week's run will be at my house at 6:30 when we'll embark on the annual Christmas Lights Run followed by warm food and a crackling fire.
