Bag It!

We had 15 runners for this week's track workout. The weather forecast wasn't too promising but after a little bit of rain during the warmup we ended up with perfect conditions for running the rest of the workout.

Meet the new Albuquerque Fit Half Marathon Head Coach

Diane Verner graciously agreed to be our new Half Marathon Head Coach after Marc asked her on bended knee.

Each runner drew a numbered sandwich bag out of a box with instructions to hang onto it until the end of the workout.
Here everyone holds up their sandwich bag entries.

Terie Weidemann won the first prize, a package of 15 Gallon Size Zipglide bags, for having sandwich bag number 9.

Dana chose a number at random and Denise won second prize, 25 square yards of aluminum foil, for having sandwich bag number 10.

Everyone got to keep their sandwich bags as prized souvenirs from track.

Afterwards 6 of us went to Il Vicino for dinner.

Dad aka Coach Steve Nunley,
This is your daughter, Mary. I cannot believe you have a beard! Remember when you told me to cut my hair because you said it would make me run faster? Well I think you should get the same advice for that Santa beard you have going on!

See Mary,

You go away to college for a few months and you never know what's going to happen while you are gone.
