Track 11/10/08

Well we didn't quite have a nealy full moon to light our way on Monday night for track. The clouds hung in there for the whole workout.

We had a good group though.

Yeah, I know. Not the best picture, huh? I was experimenting with the best mode to use for taking pictures at night on my new camera. Guess what? This isn't the best mode for taking pictures at night. You can make out Dale, Steve, Mike, Nancy, Lori, Brigitte, Diane, Lana (from out of the blue) Ron, Nancy and Deana the Four Hour Marathoner (FHM).

Nancy selected, completely at random, a workout from the magic workout hat, and we ended up playing pace game. The game for the night was predicting your time for 4 intervals, 400,800,800 and 1200 meters (1 lap, 2 laps, 2 laps and 3 laps for the metrically challenged)

Here's the results :

I didn't have time to put together the prizes but next week I'll award Mike, Diane and Ron their prizes for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Afterwards we had a good size group head out to dinner at Il Vicino.

Diane and Lori plan race strategy for San Antonio.

Here's the group at dinner. (clockwise from left) Brigitte, Johnna, Nancy, Diane, Lori (behind Steve), Steve, Deana the FHM, Ron

Don't you think Johna is just the cutest thing?

Speaking of cute...

Nancy listens intently to Steve.

This must be what Nancy was listening to as Lori looks on. Maybe Steve was telling another one of his jokes.

Deana's got lunch for tomorrow as Ron looks bemusedly on.

They insisted on getting a shot of me so they stole my camera.

Join us next week on Monday night for another fun track workout. Come and see what gets picked out of the magic workout hat. Next week, November 17th we'll be at Eldorado High School's track at 6PM. The following week, November 24th, we'll meet at our house for some fun hill repeats followed by homemade pizza, soup and salad at our house.
